A Trip to Germany

If you haven't already read my About Me, then you don't know that I'm part German. I mean, I'm not THAT German. It's not like I have a German accent or anything like that. My friend, Josh, however, says that he can tell that I'm German. How? I don't know. Anyway, because of my heritage, I guess you could say, my dream is to take a trip to Germany.

Mostly everyone knows about the Holocaust, and how it was mainly based in Germany. That being said, there are many museums and tourist attractions about the Holocaust time period in that country that I would like to see. For instance, the Buchenwald Memorial. (Buchenwald concentration camp was a German Nazi concentration camp, established on the Ettersberg near Weimar, Germany, in April 1943, one of the first concentration camps on German soil. The Buchenwald Memorial is all about that concentration camp.) There are also many more museums like that. One other thing that I would love if I were to take a trip to Germany would be to take a tour of Auschwitz. (For those who don't know, Auschwitz was the biggest concentration camp in Germany.)

Historical museums would mainly be the highlight of my trip, but of course, there are many other great things to see and do in Germany that I could enjoy. Beautiful architecture, great food, and more! I would love to stay in Berlin, the capital, while I was on the trip. That is, I might never even go to Germany in my lifetime. But who knows?

If I were to go, I'd have to be a lot older, learn a lot more German, and need a bunch of money. So obviously, I'm not prepared, anyways! Haha. Well, this blog post is really long. I hope you read it all! Cya!

Xoxo,
Hayl
